Senior Teams 2012

The club plans to enter 3 teams in Div 1 Premier & Reserve Grade & Div 2 Reserve Grade 

The Club is growing and provides excellent facilities for both your rugby and for social interactions. We are not limited to University students and welcome any player who is looking to come and out play for the first or 500th time.

The club senior coach for 2012 is Robin Crawford.

 Preseason Training

Commences Thursday 2nd February 2012 and will be on every Tues & Thursday from 6:30pm

Preseason Games

The Club is currently negotiating to send a 1st XV to compete in the Laffan Cup on the 17th March in Sydney. The Laffan Cup is an Australian Universities preseason competition in which clubs play 3 very shortened pool games against other university clubs. It is also used as a selection process for the Australian Universities side.

The club has also agreed to play against Melbourne University in 2 invitational matches (1st XV & U23 XV) in Mt Gambier on Saturday 31st March.

Postseason

Adelaide University Rugby will be hosting the Australian University Games Rugby Sevens at the Waite Oval during the week 23-27 September 2012

Juniors Teams 2012

The club also has junior teams. Go to the Short Blacks section on the menu for details. Teams for 2012 will be U7s, U8, U10s, U12s, & U14s we maybe able to also accommodate an U16 team. Training will commence 15 March 2012 with the competition starting on 28th April  

Over 35s Golden Oldies:
The club also caters for rugby veterans over 35. Go to the Old Blacks section on the menu for details.

 Around the traps, the Club is affectionately known as the "Uni Blacks".  The AURUFC is the oldest rugby club in South Australia and in 2012 we celebrate our 80th year.  The Club has a rich tradition and has produced many fine players and has won its fair share of premierships along the way.

Thursday Nights:
Why not come along Thursday nights and enjoy a few cold ones at the Club? The bar opens around 6.30 pm until well after training finishes. There is also a BBQ for players and supporters at a small charge. What a great way to meet current players, Club legends and Old Blacks!
